Sepp Messner's musical history began in the mid 60s. His first band was called "The Fellows". Then Sepp and Rabensteiner brothers established "Steve's group", and continued professional way. They were the first to beat beyond the borders of South Tyrol formation along with the then well-known British group "The Renegades". At that time he wrote the first album. After "Steve's Group", Sepp played in the 70s in the dance band "Souvenirs" for years, and dedicated to his 2nd occupation, painting. In 1973., he started a family and a successful business. Nevertheless, he always helped out at the "Gufidauner" band. From this collaboration came the big band "Eisacktaler-musicians", which was founded by his brother. In the same time was born the idea to write funny dialect texts, and to wrap them in lively rhythms. The "Minstrels" were born. Between 1978. and 1979. came 2 cassettes that today only have sentimental value. From the mid 80s, Sepp played only for the fun of joy without appearances. The "Songs from South Tyrol" Sepp took after long discussions and persuasion in the studio where "Af'n Ball" was recorded for the first time.  Participation in the first "Songs from South Tyrol" concert tour made the Sepp, who from then on was called after the name of his home farm, Sepp Messner "Windschnur" rapidly known. Soon he gathered up his old musician friends and formed a band with them. It  followed tours, radio and television appearances and a live CD.
