Daniel Swarovski monument

As a visible sign of thanks to Daniel Swarovski, the founder of modern Wattens, the council had in 1961 build a monument in the center front of the main school. Professor Gustinos Ambrosi from Prague, a famous artist and personal friend of Daniel Swarovski, created the three-meter-high statue after a demanding ancient method. Daniel Swarovski was an industry pioneer with a vision and heart. His personality was shaped by love for others, social responsibility, respect, innovation and warmth. Many remember him even today for its sympathetic and elegant appearance. His thinking and his conviction continued to live in the company's philosophy and in the town of Wattens.
